The Oral and Craniofacial Sciences (OCS) Graduate Program seeks students with strong academic records and significant research experience (1 year or more).
OCS DDS-PhD Program Admission
The OCS DDS-PhD is a research-intensive joint degree program that aims to train future academic scientists with a solid understanding of clinical dentistry and oral health. Participants complete both a DDS and a PhD over 7-8 years.
Admission to the OCS DDS-PhD program is handled through the UCSF School of Dentistry. Students interested in this program must apply to both the DDS program (using the ADEA AADSAS application between June 1 and October 1) and the OCS PhD program application (on the UCSF Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs website between September 1 and October 1). All applications are due October 1.
